CV

Marcus was born 1989 in Gothenburg, off the west coast of Sweden. He studied at Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg between 2007-2013 and subsequently received his B.Sc. in Industrial Design Engineering and M.Sc. in Sound and Vibration. His Master's thesis focused on designing warning signals from a psychoacoustic perspective. During his second year of the M.Sc. degree he worked as a research assistant in Psychoacoustics, investigating interactions between loudness and emotional response.

Since January 2014 he studies as an Early Stage Researcher under the guidance of Prof. Norbert Dillier in Zurich, Switzerland and is formally pursuing his PhD at ETH Zurich.

Research Interests

Current research interests include the design and evaluation of novel Cochlear Implant algorithms utilizing the binaural information available with two linked implants, as well as the development of rapid evaluation techniques.
